The Flame Spraying Process
|
- Plasma Flame Spraying
For superb quality Ceramic, Tungsten Carbides, and all metal deposits. Plasma Flame Spraying will give you coatings exhibiting very high bond strengths, low oxide levels and minimum porosity. They will accept a high surface finish after machining or grinding. Our special Chrome Oxide deposit is harder than 1600Hv and can be lapped to a 0.02 micron finish.
- HVOF
For the application of Carbides and Metallics. This method gives high bond strengths and low porosity. Tungsten Carbide Coatings can be superfinished to 0.02 microns.
- Arc and Combustion Wire
For general purpose coatings of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Can also deposit psuedo-alloy coatings such as Copper and Steel. Used for repair of worn parts, and for Zinc or Aluminium onot Plastics for RFI Screening.
- Thermospray
For general purpose metal, ceramic and cermet coatings applied in powder form. This process is also used for Self Fluxing Nickel and Cobalt alloys which require subsequent fusion.

Electro-Deposition Processes
|
- Hard Chromium Plate
- Electro-Deposited Nickel Plate
- Electroless Nickel Plate
- Diamond Grinding
Carried out in house to ensure maximum possible concentricity.
We are currently achieving TIRs to better than 5 microns!
Capacity up to 400mm dia x 2500mm long.
- Superfinishing Plasma Coatings
Used predominantly for achieving a 'mirror finish' in hard Ceramic Coatings.
Also used for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, Tungsten and Chrome Carbides.
Finishes down to 0.02 microns.
Capacity up to 580mm dia x 4250mm long.
- Superfinishing for Hard Chrome
Finishes to better than 0.005 microns are possible, but are very dependent upon preparation. Not all Chromed surfaces will be suitable.
